Basic Pistol Course

This course is taught on a private or semi-private basis. Course time is based on individual student training needs. Covid-19 restrictions allow up to 3 family members or friends only. Students provide their own firearms and ammunition.

  • Private Lesson: $75.00 per hour

  • Semi-Private: $60.00 per hour per student

  • Range fees of $20.00 per person and instructor are additional.

USCCA Home Defense Course

Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or using a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun/shotgun basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training. Covid-19 restrictions allow up to 3 family members or friends only.

  • Semi-Private Instruction: $360.00

NRA Certified Pistol Course

The NRA Certified Pistol Training Course includes: NRA Pistol Course Workbook, Pistol Orientation and Operation,Safe Firearm Handling at Home and Range, Cleaning, Shooting Principles and Techniques, Clearing Stoppages, Transportation Laws in CA and More. The course hours are prescribed by the NRA and include a written test. Students will be NRA Certified after successful completion of the course. Covid-19 restrictions allow up to 3 family members or friends only.

  • Private Certification: $360.00

  • Semi-Private Certification: $310.00

  • Range fee’s of $20.00 per person and instructor are additional.

Range safety officer course

Range Safety Officer Course

This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Course Evaluation form.

Contra Costa CCW 16 and 8 hour Courses

The decision to apply for a Contra Costa County CCW is about taking a small measure of personal responsibility for your safety and the safety of your family. It’s about making it home safe at night and being safe while in your home. You are your families first responder, and that role must be taken seriously. The Course includes the 2nd Addition of the USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Book and Covers:

·        Handgun Basics and Shooting Fundamentals

·        How to Avoid Conflict and Awareness of Your Surroundings

  • 5 rules for concealed carry

·        The psychology of violent encounters

  • The legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath)

  • Permissible Use of Force

  • Penal, Civil and FAA codes

  • Gear and gadget guide that can help students concealed carry more effectively

  • Carrying in Your Vehicle:  Stopped by the police, what to do?

  • Weapons storage and transportation

  • Home security and home defense

  • Range Safety

  • Live Fire Range Time

Students taking this class are expected to be proficient in the handling and operation of their firearm’s. The eight hour class includes classroom and range time. A minimum of 5 students are required to offer this class. Classes not meeting the minimum students will be rescheduled.

The 8 hour 1 day class fee of $275.00 includes: Classroom and Range Fee’s, Targets and diploma’s for passing students. The below noted items are required for class participation.

  1. Driver’s license.

  2. Firearms that will be listed on your CCW. You must have a valid DROS for each firearm.

  3. An outside the waistband holster. No cross draw, in the waistband or shoulder holsters allowed.

  4. 150 rounds of ammunition. At least 2 magazines or speed loaders.

  5. Lunch and snacks. Water will be provided.

  6. No open toed shoes or tank tops. Wear clothing suitable for the weather current weather conditions.

  7. Eye and hearing protection.

The 16 hour 2 day class fee of $435.00 includes: The USCCA Training Manual, Classroom and Range Fee’s, Targets and diploma’s for passing students. The below noted items are required for class participation.

  1. Driver’s license.
